Final

Overview:

I chose the user interview with Astrid and her mother to base my solution off of. Astrid's mother was concerned with Astrid's anxiety and doing well in school. I decided to base my project off of these two aspects. With my solution of Sensi Products I enhanced the person to person relationship between Astrid and the adults in her life to help her in areas of high anxiety as well as subjects she may struggle with. The design features are appropriate for each device depending on the user. What Astrid is exposed to on the Sensi-paper, differs from what her teachers and mother is exposed to through Sensi-View. The unique interface design correlates a hand drawn effect keeping the look and feel playful while coexisting with a beautiful gradient with colors in correlation with how the anxiety is read throughout Sensi-View; ranging from a high energy orange to a calming purple. I took risks throughout the design by having a non-traditional home screen in the orientation of a graph, but allowed for all features to still be accessible.

interface update

This is an updated mood board expressing the logo, colors, look and feel, brand attributes, fonts, and icons used throughout the interface. The screens are interface updates to help explain the user experience through still screens.

process update

These are some updated screen plans to help plan out future videos and interface explanations, as well as a beginning interface direction.

mood boards

One of these directions is more of a playful hand based direction, while the other is a more sophisticated geometric direction. I am personally leaning towards the more playful direction because I feel as though it is more unique than the other direction.

user flows from 3 stories

Each of these sketches are details of screens displayed to each of the adults throughout each story of Astrid and her teacher, Astrid and her mother, and Astrid and her tutor.

refine device story

These wireframes display a refined story showing more aspects of the capabilities and interactions of the refined virtual experience with the devices and how they help communication between Astrid and the adults in her life.

refining device

These sketches are some notes and drawings used to refine the concepts behind the device, it's capabilities, interactive elements, and how it corresponds with other devices.

story process

This is a look at some story board process between sketched wireframe plans to more refined digital versions.

preliminary device ideas

These are some rough sketches of some beginning device ideas connecting Astrid's anxiety with a solution whether it be connecting her wither her mother in someway, or helping her battle her anxiety herself.
