One of these directions is more of a playful hand based direction, while the other is a more sophisticated geometric direction. I am personally leaning towards the more playful direction because I feel as though it is more unique than the other direction.

preliminary device ideas
These are some rough sketches of some beginning device ideas connecting Astrid's anxiety with a solution whether it be connecting her wither her mother in someway, or helping her battle her anxiety herself.

Project 2 Reflection
The realistic aspect of this project put a lot more emphasis
on content than projects I have been assigned to work on in the past. In past
projects I spent much time concentrating on the aesthetics of the project and
how well the content was presented visually. With the poverty exhibit, a real
public audience would be present experiencing the content more than the
aesthetic. Yes, the aesthetic still held importance in communication and ease
of understanding, however it did not hold the same priority as it has in
earlier assignments. Knowing the content curated would actually be read and understood
by the public was a pressure I personally was not accustomed to. Yet, making
this priority adjustment did help me feel a little more accomplished and
professional as not only a designer, but as a communicator.
