Design intent
My design intent for this project is to walk the viewer
through the visual expression of Charlie Parker's life. This includes his beginning
in Kansas City and learning his love for Jazz, his wild success in New York,
and then even including a feeling of his tragic end. The idea of this story
concept is to lead the viewer through the space as they experience the essence
of his life and his music. I would like the viewer to leave feeling as if they
had just experienced a story of creativity, inspiration, beginning, and end.
Titling exploration
These explorations were playing with the combination of the title and uses of icons, index, and symbols pertaining to bebop or Charlie Parker.
Floor plan exploration
These explorations played with the concept of Charlie Parker's visual story through producing feelings using a strictly visual tactic to express music and emotion.
