Paul Rand helped establish what is known as the Swiss Style
of design and is one of the foremost American graphic designers of the 20th
century. He was an educator, as well, at Cooper Union and later, Yale where he
taught the graduate graphics program. Before that he studied at Pratt
Institure, Parsons School of Design, and the Art Students League. He was a
versatile designer who’s career ranges from a variety of specialties. He’s
worked with media promotion, book design, advertising, and even iconic logos like
IBM, UPS, and ABC television.
